Pharmaceutical containers
Pharmaceutical containers are produced from "tubing glass" glass that is converted. Using forming machines the tubes are heated and formed into the required shape. The products produced include • ampoules • cartridges • syringes • vials.
Typical inspection performed for these types of products include: • dimensional (diameter, height, radius, length, >>) • cosmetic (cracks, dirt, inclusions, fissures, >>) • printing (missing, incomplete, incorrect, >>). More information about pharmaceutical containers >>.
Hollow glass
Hollow glass (molded glass) is produced from "cullet" by use of IS (Individual Section) machines.
The products in this segment include • wine/beer/spirit bottles • perfume bottles • food jars. Typical inspection performed for these types of products include: • dimensional (diameters, heights, lean, out of round >>) • cosmetic (Line over finish, cracks, dirt, inclusions, >>). More information about container glass >>. Or find more information about out visual inspection application for hollow glass >>.
Stemware / Domestic glass
Stemware products / domestic glass are normally produced by dedicated forming machines.
The products in this segment include • wine glasses • tumbler glasses. Typical inspection performed for these types of products include: • dimensional (lean, diameters, height, out of round >>) • cosmetic (cracks, uneven rim, inclusions, bad melts, >>). More information about stemware and domestic glass >>. Or learn more about out vision inspection system for stemware >>.
Tubing
Tubing forms the basis for many products such as (converted) pharmaceutical containers. Glass tubes (approximately 1.500mm long) are converted into many different products.
Typical inspection performed for these types of products include: • dimensional (length, wall thickness, >>) • cosmetic (cracks, inclusions, poor edge, fissures >>). More information about tubing >>. Or learn more about our visual inspection application for tubing inspection >>.
Technical glass
Technical glass are glass products that serve dedicated needs and include products such as • sprinkler bulbs • coffee pots • solar glass • protection covers (mobile phone, tablets etc).
Typical inspection performed for these types of products include: • dimensional (height, length, radius, >>) • cosmetic (cracks, poorly formed, sink, blemish >>). More information about technical glass >>.
