Field Service Technician

Role and responsibilities

  • Installing, validating, upgrading, repairing, and maintaining the Vimec inspection systems at customer sites worldwide
  • Customer on-site training and remote support
  • Addressing customer requests for service
  • Diagnosing, analyzing, and troubleshooting Vimec equipment topics remotely
  • Supporting internal system-specific processes, e.g., testing and validating at the Vimec site
  • Ensuring on point and on time availability of spare parts for service requirements
  • Contacting customers in a timely manner and scheduling service efficiently
  • Collaborating with the sales manager and sales team to understand and meet customer needs and expectations
  • Performing administrative paperwork and filling digital reports promptly and accurately
  • Providing feedback to the project manager and engineering team regarding project and system improvement possibilities

Experience

  • Experience in technical equipment installation
  • Affinity for industrial automation, optics and machine vision technology is a plus
